Maya Angelou was such an inspiration that my teacher choose her for us to learn about, she is an inspiration for me because she never gave up on her dreams!!

Civil Rights Movements aim to give everybody an equal right regardless of color skin color, gender, nationality, religion, disability or age. The aim of the movement which peaked in the 1960s was to ensure that the rights of all people are equal and are protected by the law. Civil rights include a number of things, for example, the right to free speech, assembly, a fair trial. You can read more about this and the amazing people that helped to make these changes below.
