"My shadow" poem response

 My Shadow:

The connections I made to the title when you are being copied and shadowed without you knowing.
The poem is organised in four stanzas each one has four lines and the rhyming pattern is AABB AABB AABB AABB.
The tone of the poem is sad, pale and sleepy because it sounds sad and annoyed at their shadow following them.
The poetic devices are similes and personification. There are similes when it says "like an India-rubber ball" and when it says like an arrant sleepy-head". There is personification when it says "he's a coward" and "lazy little shadow".
I think the meaning is always watching your back and making sure that you are protected where ever you go.
