Today I have made two Christmas decorations online. They have my two cats on them. This is one of the Summer Learning Journey activities. Here they are:

On the right is Beauty and on the left is Peggy. I think they would like these photos, but cats don't care about anything.

StepsWeb Review

 StepsWeb update:

All right, I'm gonna be honest here, the new StepsWeb is so stupid. I mean, it is cool because the background is my favourite colour, AKA blue. 

But there is a catch, Raewyn and I finished StepsWeb, when you do that you can do any course in StepsWeb but now we can't. Raewyn and I think that this is stupid that we can't do that. We were goofing off last time we were on StepsWeb and going on one of the first levels and now we are STUCK ON IT! I mean it is easy and all but, I don't like it. We are hoping that our progress from before is still there because we want to go on different levels whenever we want to... WE CAN'T!

What Is M.A.P.I.C? (Why I Blog)

 WHAT IS M.A.P.I.C AND WHY DO I BLOG?

What is MAPIC? Well MAPIC stands for, multimodal representation of ideas, amplification, personalisation, interactions and coherence.

 Multimodal means more than one type of text like videos, podcasts, drawings, images, voiceovers, etc.

Amplification means to make your point clear which includes highlighting, repeating things so that the main point is very clear for the audience.

Personalisation means to teach the audience about yourself, like telling them your culture, personality, etc. This could also include greetings, humour and advice.

Interaction means to ask questions and ask for feedback and feedforward. You can also do something like sharing your D.L.O to your friends and family so they can edit, comment or view it.

  Coherence means to make sure that all your work connects and your audience can tell what you have been learning instead of thinking that you have been on the wrong thing.

The three reasons that I blog is because I like to connect with the world, I like to tell you what I've been doing and lastly, I like to blog because I love to reply to you guys when you comment and start a positive relationship.

Kia ora, today we were doing a prototec and I got 40/40! YAY! Here is my work:

 Todays Prototec:

Today we had to do a prototec. Because Ms Waho is my favourite teacher in the whole wide school world, I did my best. Even though I got one wrong, I think I did well because it took me 2:55 minutes. I think that is my best score by far.

 Timed Prototec - Checking My Basic Facts Knowledge

Today we had a set amount of time to complete a Prototec Basic Facts session.  We then all had to stop, take a screenshot and post this to our blogs so we could share how we went.
We had 8 minutes to work and then had to stop.

Bring Back The Break

 What I did in the holidays:

This week we have been writing about our holidays. I like doing this because I had a really good holiday.

REFLECTION: I think that I did well with this, I also think that everyone else did a good job as well. The rest of my class did it as well so look at their blogs too.

Value Of The Week!

 Honesty:

Today we have been learning about honesty! Honesty is when you tell the truth and then people will believe you. My friends and I made this slide about being honest. Alyxis, Ema-Leigh, Marsali, Raewyn and Unique.

REFLECTION:  I think we all did well and we explained most things you need to know about being honest!

 Steps Web Goal-How Am I Going?

This term our focus for Goal Setting is Steps Web. In July, I set a goal for the rest of the term. Today, I am checking how I have done.

Today, I have done 787 minutes which is 407 more minutes. I am on track to my goal, I will continue doing what I am doing.

Today our lovely teachers Ms Waho and Ms Cabral gave us a template to do that is about the minus', the positives and the interesting parts about lockdown.

REFLECTION: I think that I did well with the colours and I did the right amount of positives, minus' and interesting things that happened in lockdown.

Today I did the other part of the learning that our teacher Ms Cabral gave us to learn about our favourite animal. I have two favourite animals so I did two.

The other day I got given a task by my teacher Ms Cabral to learn about our favourite animal/s. So I did two and this is my wombat one:

REFLECTION: I think I did a pretty good job. I used Cool Text, Google and a site that told me all about wombats.

Maori Instructions

 Maori Learning:

During this year I created an animation with Maori instructions, I created this with Alyxis, a fellow student. I think I did okay, and I like all the characters.

REFLECTION: I think we did a good job with all of the different instructions.

The other day, I was on Hour Of Code and I started to create a video game. I made a little reptile that throws tacos! I thought that it is very cool.

REFLECTION: I think I did well for my first time. How do you think I did?

Soundcloud Adventure

Today I had a play with Soundcloud. Hakeem my fellow classmate showed us how to use it. I gave it a go and this is how it turned out.

REFLECTION: I think this went well, next time I will make it more interesting.

 Incredibox Fun:

Today I played with Incredibox and made a new band and song. This time I made FD playing Making Lives, I think this is cool because of the beats.

REFLECTION: I think this tune is good and interesting. I like it a lot.

The other day I made some art for my parents and I. I asked them what their favourite shape was and then their 4 favourite colours for the different things.
